Why are the results free?
Many test sites let you answer 50 questions, then ask for a card to see the result, sometimes with a subscription hidden in the small print. We think that is unfair. NineTraits is paid for by ads on the page, so every result is complete and free, and you can share it with a link.
Are these tests scientific?
Some rest on strong research (the Big Five, attachment dimensions, the IQ test's reasoning items); others are popular frameworks with less evidence behind them (love languages, enneagram, temperaments). Each test page explains where its model comes from and how we score it. All questions are written by us.
